Water 4 was founded in 2006, our philosophy has always been dedicated to the development and production of innovative, fully sustainable, new generation health supplements, targeted towards vegetarians’, vegans’ and the health conscious individual.
Our first product under the V-Pure brand was launched in March 06. This product is the first EPA and DHA, Omega-3 supplement from algae. Over this short period of time, V-Pure Omega-3 has reached a massive audience across the world as the only true vegetarian alternative to fish oil and has become a brand consumers can trust and identify with.
V-Pure is an affordable, ethical alternative for the consumer. When people hear or refer to Omega-3, consumer perception is that it is derived from fish, extracted from fish, therefore being the only way one can intake the precious oil, as our bodies do not synthesis it naturally.
Historically that has been the case, however we source our Omega-3 directly from the algae, the food that fish eat, so we do not impact on declining fish supplies. We therefore are the only company promoting EPA and DHA Omega-3 from algae to the international market.
Water 4 believe the future of Omega-3 lies within our technology and understanding of algae EPA & DHA and that our on-going research and development of concentrates will lead us to further developments and new product opportunities.
V-Pure attracts numerous numbers of consumers on a daily basis in their search for optimum quality supplements. We believe V-Pure to be that brand and one that is growing from strength to strength, year in, year out.
This year in 2009 will see the V-Pure brand expand as we introduce further product lines that will begin to form what we envisage to be an extensive portfolio of highly nutritional products of the future that will protect and conserve biodiversity, conserve natural resources and use renewable energies, whilst minimising pollution and environmental impact.
This line will complement our current oil and capsules and will include encapsulated powders and emulsified oils for easy addition to food processing and a ‘clearly’ water soluble liquid, not to mention further product development that will impact on many dairy, bakery and confectionery products, thus ensuring the oil is as widely available as possible, in many applications.
